HBCU's and the projects

Is it just me or does it seem like most HBCUs is located by the projects? If that is true...why is that?

i thought they built the colleges first, then the PJs. I think the universities just dont have the means to support their surrounding neighborhoods. I mean USC and Yale were at there locations before the poor people came, so. Howard has been in its spot since 1867, did they even have housing projects back then? O and, LA is the SH**! lol

^^^Yeah that's what this lady in the college center said. I just thought that was interesting...is it all the schools or just some that are right by the projects?

' True they didn't make HBCU's in the projects, they put them where they could be best accessed by the African American community. It is unfortunate that it seems that everwhere we go we bring trouble but that's my theory of what happend with the neighborhoods surrounding the HBCU's.
