Are You - Metered Poem (6-Syllable) Posted on 05-17-2004

But when the black stars pierce And as the days grows so near All while I dream and fear Why wont you dissappear The greatest loss and love For what it costs, it **** Now, more than often, Us Seems like it always was Are you thinking about (me) Cuz' Im thinking about (you) "How you can't live without (me)" Cuz I cant live without (you) If you want me you got (me) And there's nothing to stop (me) You know I'm ready for (you) This love is ready for (two) Of all the things conversed We played the part, rehearsed How it would be, if first We met without this curse I get so very weak This man who should not weep Knowing that when you sleep Its with your man, not me Are you thinking about (me) Cuz' Im thinking about (you) "How you can't live without (me)" Cuz I cant live without (you) If you want me you got (me) And there's nothing to stop (me) You know I'm ready for (you) This love is ready for (two)

*applauds* I really like this. I would tell you how talented you are but you already know that. I think I may just print it out and later on in life this may be worth millions *giggles* Keep on writing. Cause I'm definetly reading.

hold it down for the House man... alot of talented poets come out of there (e.g. Saul Williams). I've been trying to get out and recited stuff live but obvious reason this past semester I couldn't. I haven't really looked at this forum but i can tell i'll be spending a lot of time in here lol. You chill with any Illyterati over there?

i only recited a couple times in the AUC, one where i shaved my head and nobody knew cuz i wore a beenie, and then unveiled it in sync with the poem that i was reading from a book, then i threw the book down and recited the rest from memory all in sync....i thought it was tight, but i guess it was pretty random lol i wrote the poem like an hour before the event, but i had been dreaming about it for days....
