I think a person should be able to date whoever they choose. Black, White, Hispanic, it shouldn't matter. But to some it does. That's just the way they are. That has to do with the way they were raised and their beliefs. Like you said, if they have a genuine connection and are not doing it for a stupid reason, then more power to 'em.
Well coming from a family of a few mixed backgrounds, my opinion may be a lil biased, but I feel you should be able to date whom ever you want. And as for the ignorance that was displayed, I would hope that the issue was addressed asap!!! I mean if it were the other way around and it was a person of color in the situation, most would be quick to call that person all kinds of racists and what not. Tell ya cuz as long as he's comfortable, do his thing...
For people who choose to only date outside of their race, I really do wonder why. Somethin about that doesn't sit well with me. Like what is so wrong about the males/females within your race that you just say I will not date any of them.
But as far as interracial relationships go in general, at this moment in time they're personally not for me. I find people who look like me to be the most attractive so I can't see dating someone who doesn't. Personally if people of other races didn't wanna date black people, I wouldn't care b/c that would be their choice.

i know TOOO many people who feel this way though...I know PLENTY of Puerto Ricans who only date black guys...asians who dont date asians...and TOO many whites and blacks who WILL NOT date in their race...that is their preference...they're dating them, not me! So who cares if I or anyone else has a problem with it!

well you know i did wonder why he neva dated a black girl but I figure he just attracted to other races and theres nothing wrong with that but as long as their is a good reason and from what I saw they had a lot in common and it was a connection between the two now if he was dating her for some stupid reasons I would adress him myself
