Unfortunately you do have ignant ass n*ggas that feel that way. Guys ar egonna have preferences, but when that preference becomes straight rule is when you have a problem. Personally, I've seen all the colors of th erainbow at Hampton, and they all got it going on.

Okay, thats stupid. Where I come from, plenty of guys have said "It really doesn't matter, cause they all the same colors when the lights go out."

I've heard a lot of stuff like that because of my complextion but i mean hey a preference is a prefrence, black women have gone through so much to have to worry about what some ignorant n*gga has to say about someones complextion. Things i've heard for being a darker skin sista. "You're pretty for a dark girl" "Your hair texture doesn't match your skin color" "I don't usually talk to darkskin girls but i think you have a wonderful smile" "I just love your complextion" (yea, thanks i love it to) I feel as though they ment to give me a compliment but it came out backwards. So Stick your nose up girl because we're all black sistas and some men can't see how powerful we all are as a whole.. I knock not the Lighter skin sisters, i used to see it as a downfall like the whole your darkskin and thats taboo but i mean who cares.. so to answer your question... No, it doesn't matter, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. edit: yay for being born in Dec- Jan & i know i am not a dude but i felt like i had to get my two cents in

Yeah Ifeel you but um I ve never gotten that cuz im not darskin i dont kno but i know that Johnelle is and she is pretty too but then I started to think is it where you from that gives you that impact on how you feel about darskin girls? He is the second guy from Lousianna thats said that his boy is from Tallahassee my sister Tessa was like thats becuase in the rural south its like that I dont think thats true but do u tihnk where theyt come from plays a part in it she was like Johnelle is Jamiacan she from BK NyC she told him she never heard such I personally think that location doesn't matter but does it? Idont know I know it shouldnt matter and those guys should't have told you those things thats mean!

I agree that it is wrong to base things like compatability on skin complexion, but if thats what you prefer, thats ya thing. But I would say atleast to keep an open mind about it. But its pretty much the same as someone restricting their preference to someone's height.

^^^...Everybody is entitled to their preference. Its when you start saying that one is better than the other is when you have the problem.

Lets just give thanks to institution of slavery and the glorious Willie Lynch! :x People can talk about how slavery and discrimination is old but self hate and color prejudice is alive an well in our society. The reality is, does it really matter what color they are? Does being dark automatically predict that they will be ugly? Weve seen ugly people or people with bad personalities of all colors, so those people who say that they "prefer" or "only date/go out with" lighterskinned people are messed up and really need to analyze themselves. This is shameful but i gotta be blunt.
