campus tours I've been to Hampton Virignia State university Old Dominion its not an HBCu but a good school ECSU N&AT Howard Morgan fisk UVA and they have pretty decent campuses Im supposed to be visiting CAU sometime next month but out of all the ones I've seen Hampton's setting is gorgeous and Howard has soo much nto only that but Nsu has a on campus club and Morgan is not all that bad my mother said Howard has changed a lot since 72 when she graduated a second time they got pretty much everything from what I saw.
Any other schools HBCU'S that have some on point campuses if any name them and what do they have?
Xavier had a really nice campus from what I can remember. Tennessee State did too.
isnt Xavier in New Orleans? Wow that strange because I thought that the schools were in BAD shaped from the Hurrican Katrina storm
I wanted to go see that school too but it breaks my heart everytime I see Nawlinz (NEW ORLEANS) in shambles like that those people dont need pity they need help I hope they get it restored and everyone can return home to their homes and evrything be all right for them. The Most high got them in his hands as far as Xavier goes I wonder i f I dont like CAU could I transfer over?
u said Tennessee State wow Nebraska is a minute from Xavier and Tennesee u really have been traveling the furthest I went to was Boston U to see my cousin graduate thats the furthest college campus I ve been to but my life aint up yet I still got more to see u kno!
Nebraska is far, but I was on a black college tour...I'm from Jackson, Ms anyway, I checked out a few before I left(when I was closer and still in civilization...Damn Nebraska :x )went in April of last year, so **** Katrina hadn't hit yet...Southern U had a nice campus too(not pretty but active)...very active :? ...ppl cars kept gettin' towed and ppl was running around just trippin'...real nice tho!
Nebraska???...I'm about to die of boredom just thinking about it....
but I've been to Tuskegee, TnState, Jackson State, Auburn, Albany State, FAMU, Bethune Cookman, Georgia Southern, University of Georgia, Savannah College of Art & Design, Morehouse, Spelman, CAU, Morris Brown, GA State, GA Tech...
worst campus: Bethune Cookman- maybe it was because I visited during the summer, but the campus was small and looked like hot crap...Daytona wasn't that great either...
Best campuses:
Tuskegee- very well-kept campus grounds and historic buildings (interiors were awful though)
University of Georgia (my school lol)- big beautiful campus, especially the north campus quad area (where most of my classes will be)...and downtown Athens is the greatest...the campus could use more grass though...
Tenn State, GA Tech, Albany, and FAMU were nice also...I expected more from the AUC
When I was in high school we went on a black college tour...it was soo fun. We traveled all day and night!!! When I got home I was so tired but it was worth it even though I decided not to attend a hbcu. It's weird because I can kinda remember what most of the schools looked like but each one was different. If you ever get the chance to go on a tour DO IT it will be soo worth it. It didn't cost that much either I think it was $100 the first time and $300 the second. We did it over 2 breaks so we could hit most of them like the first time we went to...

Dang U visited A LOT of schoolz!!!! AND yall went to wwwwwaaaaaaaaayyyyy more places. Ours was like $500 and some odd dollars and we went to:
Langston University-Got there on a Saturday(Morning) and NOBODY was there or either they were sleep. We spent the majority of the time sittin' on the bus lookin' at trees. We saw ol' dude from College Hill 2 tho...the big one
Paul Quinn-Very small...seemed active tho
Xavier-very nice...
Dilliard-It was okay
Grambling-Didn't like it
Tennessee State-Liked it
Fisk University-Didn't even get to see the campus cuz they kicked us out.
Lincoln University(Missouri)-I really liked it. If I didn't want to get the hell out of the Midwest, I would go there.
Those are all the places we visited for all that money. We had no fun AT ALL. The only thing that was semi-fun was shoppin' in Dallas. :x
