So ladies and gentlemen...congrats on achieving only the BEGINNING of your life....I see many of you are headed to some beautiful and wonderful colleges and universities this fall... So what i wanna know is, what are you guys doing to prepare yourself for quite a new experience? How are you feeling? What do you look forward to your freshman year? What are the plans for yourself for freshman year?

Happy that I'm out of high school. I couldn't stand another minute in that place lol but it hasn't hit me though. I think it will once I step foot on campus.

i've been sleeping and chilling. i was in a cotillion this past weekend and now that that's done i was planning on getting my summer back. and then i got the worst cold i've had all year. but i'm bouncing back from that. and now i'm getting my internship started, doing some poetry shows. and more sleeping and chilling. as far as freshman year i want to immerse myself in college culture, do stuff i've always wanted to do but always felt too nerdy to do (see plays, go to musuems), enjoy learning and being alive. that's about it.

lol its ok to be a nerd....I'm a proud nerd....i go to plays and try to get to the museums and sight seeing around the city...nothing wrong with it...you get a deeper respect for the different cultures represented on your campus and in that particular city!!

Well, I just got back in town from my two-day orientation at UGA...it was GREAT (with the exception of the boring lectures and tests)...met some cool people (the black Greeks are cool as hell...so are the band members) got signed up for some interesting classes (I'm taking an evening seminar class 2 days a week discussing racial depictions in classic cinema and 3 semesters of Portuguese in addition to my other classes)...NO 8AM classes!! I can't wait until August! gooooooooooooo Dawgs...sic 'em! woof woof woof 8) ok I sound overly excited now lol...simmer down

haha lol Orientations do make you hype for the semester to begin lol...AND YAYYYY NO 8AM CLASSES!! i refuse to be apart of that too....can't do it...thats just entirely tooooooo early.....my first semester my day didn't start until 1:40....it was beautiful....and it ended at 4...so i still had a nice part of day to do what i wanted....but second semester i started taking 9:40's....they aren't so bad...besides after class...its wonderful to know that you have the rest of the day to do anything lol....but 8 am's?? no wayyyyy.....lol... and that racial depictions in classic cinema seminar seems fascinating...im taking a course in the spring on early classic and black cinema dealing with the same thing....it should be a good class....
