JOB DESCRIPTION Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology, Neuro-Oncology GENERAL SUMMARY: The incumbent will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Neuro-Oncology Division, Department of Neurology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. The incumbent will provide care for the inpatient and outpatient services at UMH, Doral, and Neurology clinics at UMHC. The primary clinical focus will be in the treatment of primary and metastatic brain tumors, and the incumbent will also be expected to see some patients with neurologic complications from their malignancy (leukemic or lymphomatous meningitis, hyperviscosity syndrome, peripheral neuropathies, etc.). Research effort will be devoted to the development of novel clinical protocols, the conduct of clinical research and the conduct or facilitation of translational research. The incumbent will also be expected to provide teaching to students, residents, and fellows in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. This position will be reporting to the Chief of the Department of Neurology. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
