A resume may not be substituted for an application. <div id="box" style="border: solid; padding: 15px; border-color: gold; background-color: lightgray;"> Minimum Requirements: <ul><li>Completion of high school or equivalent G.E.D. </li></ul>AND <ul><li>Six (6) months experience in a nutrition intervention program or six (6) months training in food and nutrition, or health science. </li></ul>OR <ul><li>Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in a health-related field in lieu of six (6) months of experience. </li></ul>OR <ul><li>Any equivalent combination of experience and training. </li></ul> Necessary Special Requirement <ul><li>Possession of a valid automobile operator's license and the use of a company vehicle/automobile during working hours. The list will contain the names of successful candidates ranked in the order of final earned ratings. The list will be in effect for one (1) year unless previously exhausted or superseded.In the ranking, open competitive applicants qualifying for Veteran’s Preference receive an additional ten points on the final earned rating. An employee in this class provides direct services to WIC participants. Work includes: collecting participant documentation, entering data, weighing and measuring participants, screening participants for low hemoglobin, issuing participant benefits, providing nutrition education, following up on participant goals, and other office duties as assigned. An employee works directly under Public Health Nutrition Supervisors, with an increasing amount of independent judgment. All work will be under continuing review on an individual basis as well as through staff trainings.
