Legal Assistant - Employment Law (00000000000000000000)

Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Legal Assistant to join a law firm in downtown Minneapolis. This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings for attorneys.
  • Draft, format, and proofread correspondence, memos, and legal documents, including employment agreements, policies, and handbooks.
  • Prepare and organize materials for depositions, mediations, and hearings.
  • Track case deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements.
  • Conduct legal research on employment laws, regulations, and case precedents.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably in employment law.
  • Associate degree or higher in legal studies, business administration, or a related field. A paralegal certificate is a plus.
  • Familiarity with employment law regulations, including wage and hour laws, workplace discrimination, and employee benefits.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status. We consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local laws, including the California Fair Chance Act, City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance. For unincorporated Los Angeles county, to the extent our customers require a background check for certain positions, the Company faces a significant risk to its business operations and business reputation unless a review of criminal history is conducted for those specific job positions.
