College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Location: Hickory, North Carolina Lenoir-Rhyne University’s College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics seeks applications for a part-time faculty appointment at the rank of instructor or senior instructor (as determined by the provost based on faculty handbook qualifications) beginning in August 2025. Responsibilities and Qualifications We invite applications for a part-time position in Chemistry to begin Aug. 18, 2025. A minimum of 18 hours of graduate coursework, from an accredited institution, in chemistry or a closely related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 3 to 9 credit hours, with the possibility of additional courses in future semesters. Teaching responsibilities may include lecture and lab sections of introductory chemistry, general chemistry, and physical sciences. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to student learning and success by providing timely, constructive feedback and employing effective teaching strategies that support diverse learning styles.
