Sustainability projects include waste reduction and pollution prevention efforts towards a Landfill Free waste stream certification and a Carbon Neutral footprint. Other projects may include Outreach, Auditing, Ergonomics and Industrial Hygiene assignments related to our Health and Safety programs, including OSHA compliance. </span></p> <p><span><strong>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:</strong></span><br><span>• Collect and analyze environmental data.</span><br><span>• Report generation and graphical information presentation.</span><br><span>• Monitor processes (e.g. basic industrial hygiene activities)</span><br><span>• Research on pollution prevention (e.g. reuse, recycling and reduction initiatives).</span><br><span>• Participate in team problem solving and continuous improvement activities.</span><br><span>• Observe behavioral based safety.</span><br><span>• Involved in Personal Protective Equipment program selection, recycling, and auditing.</span><br><span>• Involved in ergonomic training and assessments</span><br><span>• Interact with production Team Members, Leadership, Product and Process Engineers, Facilities Maintenance and</span><br><span>Engineering</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:</strong></span><br><span>• Must be a student in good standing at an accredited institute pursuing a BS in Environmental Engineering or Industrial</span><br><span>Engineering (related disciplines will be considered).</span><br><span>• Ability to think analytically, independently, and outside of the box to provide fresh ideas to improve processes .</span><br><span>• Ability to work with people in a production/plant environment</span><br><span>• Have excellent verbal and written communications skills.</span><br><span>• Knowledge of Microsoft office and PC Skills.</span><br><span>• Knowledge of industrial hygiene, policy, and occupational safety is preferred. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></span><br><span>• Standing: Moderate</span><br><span>• Lifting: Minimal</span><br><span>• Walking: Frequent walking moderate distances (less than¼ mile)</span><br><span>• Carrying: Minimal</span><br><span>• Pushing: Minimal</span><br><span>• Pulling: Minimal</span><br><span>• Bending: Minimal</span><br><span>• Reaching: Minimal</span><br><span>• Handling: Minimal</span><br><span>• Environment: office and plant floor - fluctuating temperatures</span><br><span>• Other: Frequent use of PC keyboard and mouse as well as digital camera</span></p> <p> </p> <div style="font-style:normal; font-weight:400; margin:0px; padding:0px; text-decoration-color:initial; text-decoration-style:initial; text-decoration-thickness:initial"> <p style="margin-left:0px"><span>Ready to make an impact and become an employee-owner?
