By offering a holistic learning environment that is both accepting and challenging, we meet students where they are and take them where they want to go.   We offer the region’s most expansive selection of degree, certificate and workplace certification programs at 3 campuses plus 3 convenient CCBC centers along with off-site community locations.</p><p style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Social Work Adjunct faculty are needed to teach Introduction to Social Work and Human Behavior in the Social Environment courses on campus day, evening, weekend, remote synchronous, and/or online classes at the Community College of Baltimore County.  Adjunct faculty will be expected to facilitate learning via preparation and delivery of instruction, cooperation with College support staff in timely submission of materials and grades as required, and coordination of activities with the Department Chair and/or Program Coordinator.  Adjunct faculty are selected based on program needs and subject matter expertise of the applicant.  Adjunct faculty are required to attend department meetings, participate in professional development related to classroom instruction and pedagogy, be available to students outside of class, and assist in maintaining program accreditation.</p>Pay level: $1085 per credit hour</dd>
<dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3.0pt;margin-top: 0;"><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work.</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Licensure as an LCSW-C, LCSW, or LMSW</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a social worker. </li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge. </li></ul><p style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;"><strong>Preferred Requirements</strong></p><ul style="margin-bottom: 3.0pt;margin-top: 0;"><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Prior online and/or remote synchronous college teaching experience.</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Experience using classroom technology and learning management systems</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Two (2) years teaching experience, college teaching experience</li></ul><br></dd>

<dd><p></p><ol style="margin-bottom: 3.0pt;margin-top: 0;"><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Fulfills department and college responsibilities as directed by the Department Chair and/or Program Coordinator.</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Abides by College wide policies and procedures regarding classroom conduct.</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Employs a variety of teaching strategies to meet a diverse student population.</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Adheres to the scheduled time of class.</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Develops a course syllabus that is in keeping with program and College policies.</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Ensures that program specific evaluation methods are administered and completed in a consistent and equitable manner.</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Assure that assessment/evaluation methods are appropriate and effectively assessing the established course objectives.</li><li style="margin: 0 0 8.0pt;">Monitors student performance on a regular basis and provides feedback within a reasonable timeframe to students.</li></ol></dd>
