<dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt>
<dd><p></p><ul class="decimal_type" style="margin-left: -0.25in; margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Tutor I - Successful completion of nine (9) credits of college-level courses with at least a B average in the course(s) to be tutored and faculty recommendation.</li><li>Tutor II – Associate Degree with 3.0 GPA or higher in course (s) to be tutored.</li><li>Tutor III – Bachelor’s Degree with 3.0 GPA or higher in course (s) to be tutored.</li><li><span style="color: inherit;">Tutor IV – Maters Degree with 3.0 GPA or higher in course (s) to be tutored.</span></li><li>Demonstrated subject area competence.</li><li>Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.</li><li>Prior tutoring experience preferred.</li></ul><br><strong>This is an in person position only (no remote options available)</strong></dd>

<dd><p></p><ol style="margin-left: 7.25px; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li><span style="color: inherit">Promotes a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Provides one-on-one, small group and/or online assistance to students.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Assist students in learning course content by referring to student class notes, assignments, and class resources.  </span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Promotes study skills and learning strategies.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Visits classes to advertise the services provided.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Documents time spent with each student and identifies material covered.</span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Attends training sessions to become College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) certified. </span></li><li><span style="color: inherit">Mentors, observes, and evaluates other tutors as assigned. </span></li></ol>Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.
