Database Administrator -Part Time <div id="details-info" class="tab-pane active fr-view" style="margin:2px"> <dl> <dt><h2>Class Description</h2></dt> <dd><p>The purpose of this class is to provide on-going support and maintenance for enterprise systems and databases. This class performs database software development, system and database patching, and database administrative duties.</p></dd> <dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt> <dd><p>Bachelor's degree and two years of programming related experience.<br>Master's degree preferred.<br><br><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;" data-pasted="true"><strong>1. This position is for Oracle DBAs</strong></span><strong><br style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;"></strong><span style="color: inherit; font-style: normal; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px;"><strong>2. This is an in-person role at the Catonsville campus. There is no remote or work from home option.</strong></span><br><br><strong>Best Consideration please apply by April 30th, 2026</strong></p></dd> <dt><h2>Class Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt> <dd><p></p><ol><li>Design, program, test, implement, and document modifications to existing systems in order to enhance processing efficiencies or a required change.</li><li>Investigate and resolve application system problems reported by system users.</li><li>Analyze and develop system specifications and procedures for modifications to existing computer systems (developed in-house or third party packages), in support of user requests.</li><li>Apply updates to third-party software products.</li><li>Identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement new products and technologies.</li></ol>Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.
