Cybersecurity Engineer-Part Time <div id="details-info" class="tab-pane active fr-view" style="margin:2px"> <dl> <dt><h2>Class Description</h2></dt> <dd><p></p><p style="margin: 0">The purpose of this class is to perform administrative and technical work in securing and supporting the College’s computing and/or network infrastructure.</p></dd> <dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt> <dd><p>Master’s degree in cybersecurity, information security, or related field with a minimum of one-year experience in cybersecurity or information technology. Experience with securing operating systems, networks, and various applications at an enterprise level required. Cybersecurity certifications are preferred.</p></dd> <dt><h2>Class Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt> <dd><p></p><table border="0" w="683" style="width: 91%; margin-left: -8.1pt; margin-right: calc(10%)"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" style="width: 100%; padding: 0 5.4pt"><div style="margin: 0"><ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt; margin-left: -0.25in"><li style="margin: 0">Provide strategic guidance for the planning and execution of additions, deletions, and significant modifications to the college-wide information security infrastructure.</li><li style="margin: 0">Direct vulnerability management, including scans, analysis, and coordination of remediation strategies with stakeholders.</li><li style="margin: 0">Conduct and guide comprehensive security risk assessments, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and regulatory compliance.</li><li style="margin: 0">Direct investigations and responses to security anomalies, providing expert recommendations and root-cause analysis.</li><li style="margin: 0">Develop and enforce college-wide information security policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement.</li><li style="margin: 0">Perform advanced security analysis to optimize institutional business processes while balancing academic and administrative needs.</li><li style="margin: 0">Advise and mentor the College community on security policy compliance and risk mitigation strategies.</li></ol></div><p style="margin: 0">Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. There will be other duties as assigned.</p><p style="margin: 0"><br></p></td></tr></tbody></table></dd> <dt><h2>Position Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt> <dd><p></p><ol style="margin-left: -0.25in; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Design and implement risk management frameworks, identifying vulnerabilities and defining acceptable risk thresholds.</li><li>Lead incident response efforts, including forensic investigations and coordination of resolution strategies across departments.</li><li>Architect and maintain advanced security controls, including ACLs, firewalls, and next-generation security appliances.</li><li>Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge security technologies, ensuring robust protection for on-premise and cloud environments.</li><li>Develop and deliver training programs for faculty, staff, and students on cybersecurity best practices.</li><li>Champion security initiatives to protect institutional systems, networks, and sensitive data.</li><li>Provide strategic and technical support for the college’s academic cybersecurity program, including curriculum enhancement and student mentorship.</li></ol></dd> </dl> </div> #CCBC Contact Information
