School-To-Career Intern (Anticipating) Work-Based Learning Program (pending funding)

*Position contingent upon availability of funding, In-person position

 

Assist in the planning and implementation of MyCAP activities for School-To-Career Department for students or departments in the Springfield Public Schools.  The position may include but not limited to provide IT, data entry, industry partner account management, SPS website content/coding and other duties assigned by a supervisor.  

 

JOB DUTIES may include:

  1. Assists with weekly planning and implementing of industry partner engagement 
  2. Assist STC Team and Administrator with School-To-Career Activities and district level initiatives
  3. Provide student perspective and voice of customer on student experience and communications
  4. Support College and Career Readiness programming and communications to support MyCAP activitie
  5. Provide technical consulting
  6. Conduct website and social media audit, learn website software and html to build out website for program
  7. Develop and propose website plan and content for coming year
  8. Exercise confidentiality practices on a daily basis to ensure privacy of information and records
  9. Maintains good communication with co-workers.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMNTS:

  1. Must be a full-time undergraduate student in an IT, Computer Science or related degree program from an accredited college or university
  2. Be able to work in person at our central office, schools and community partner locations
  3. Prior experience with School-To-Career Program as Springfield student preferred
  4. Proficiency in MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, PPT
  5. Proficient knowledge in IT systems, HTML coding a plus
  6. Must be able to accurately enter data in to the computer
  7. Must possess a positive attitude, flexible and able to work with diverse groups of people
  8. Must be sensitive to the needs of people and prior work experience with diverse populations (ethnically, socially and economically).
  9. Ability to deploy strong organization skills in order to meet deadlines, perform detail-oriented tasks and balance a variety of responsibilities.
  10. Ability to work independently; be self-motivated and goal-oriented.

Please note: you must be able to provide an official government ID (drivers license or passport) and social security card and will need to complete a CORI background check and FBI fingerprinting screen to be employed.
