|
Network Administrator This position is an experienced Network Engineer supporting a contract for a Federal research and health agency. This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of network or telecommunications components to drive network efficiency and availability This is an on-site position that requires the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Maintain network quality standards to achieve optimal levels of operation and service level agreement (SLA)/KPI targets. - Tracks and monitors network traffic and performance to ensure minimal interruption to network transmission and/or network switches. - Corrects network problems effectively and in a timely manner. Integrates initiatives, industrialization, and efficiencies to network facilities for improvements (i.e., enhancements, updates, upgrades, and new systems). - Continuously revises procedures and uses tools to monitor network performance. Job-Specific Minimum Requirements: - Experience with Cisco network infrastructure devices, specifically Cisco Catalyst 9200-series, 9400-series, NXOS 9k, FEX, and Firepower appliances 4k and 1k series - Experience with automation and software defined network (SDN) capabilities - Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and MAC-based solutions - Experience with Monitoring tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center and Solarwinds, Stealthwatch - Public Trust clearance Minimum Education requirement: - University degree (BA/BS) in a closely related field (Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology) Years of Required Work-Related Experience: - Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience as a network engineer or administrator. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: - Familiarity with automation and scripting languages such as Python or Ansible - CCNA certification or higher – provide credential number and expiration date - Familiarity with Cisco Telemetry broker, Stealthwatch, and ACI are an added strength #techjobs #clearance #veteranspage
