<p><strong>JOB TITLE:</strong>                            Residential Aide</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">ABOUT THE PROGRAM</span>: Roots to Recovery</strong></p>
<p><span>Roots to Recovery: A Holistic Approach to Substance Use Treatment (R2R) is an intermediate, 24/7 residential treatment for men in need of a structured environment to continue building upon their recovery skills. R2R is located in Willimantic. There are 14 beds and it is a 90 day maximum intermediate (3.5) residential substance abuse treatment program.  Clients are referred from intensive treatment programs, emergency room staff and/or detox programs. Clients with co-occurring disorders and on Methadone maintenance are accepted.  Clients cannot work during their stay but can start looking for work 3 weeks prior to program completion. </span></p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION:</strong></span><strong> Residential Aide</strong></p>
<p><strong>Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintains physical environment and program standards set by funders, accreditors, and agency policies.</li>
<li>Monitor self-administration of client medications in accordance with the agency medication policies and procedure as program may require.</li>
<li>Effectively utilizes appropriate communication methods/tools to effectively collaborate with co-workers and clients.</li>
<li>Teaches and assists all residents in areas of developmentally appropriate activities of daily living.</li>
<li>Assists/Manages administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor.</li>
<li>Prepares and facilitates educational and skill building groups and one to one intervention as directed by the treatment plan.</li>
<li>Collaborates and coordinate care with providers and families as needed.</li>
<li>Assists residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.</li>
</ul>

<li>Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.</li>
<li>Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and other meetings as assigned.</li>
<li>Additional duties as required.</li>
</ul>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>Education:</strong>  High diploma or GED required.</p>
<p><strong>Experience:</strong> Two years’ experience working with a relevant population preferred.</p>
<p><strong>Licensure/Certification/Registration: </strong>Valid driver’s license required with good driving record.</p>
<p><strong>Training</strong>: CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.</p>
