Job Summary

The INDOPACOM Account Manager position at KBR will serve as a front-end Business Development representative and customer-focused lead within KBRs business development organization, focused specifically on Indo-Pacific programs. This category leader will play a pivotal role in advancing KBRs mission within the Unified Combatant Command, connecting them with new capabilities. The selected candidate must possess an understanding of the geographic and Joint Forces environment, as well as key-decision makers, to effectively address operating challenges with new capabilities. The Account Manager will be responsible for building relationships with the regional command, creating a focused pipeline, and winning new business. They will engage with military customers to drive strategic award opportunities and top pursuits.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management and execution of the full BD life-cycle across proposals and pursuits.

  • Routinely build pipeline and advance winnable opportunities with the average size of $200M+ solicitation pursuits.

  • Engage the customer, shape future procurements, design a winning strategy, and assist in developing a capture plan that implements the strategy and translates into win themes.

  • Ensure the voice of the customer is contained in the content throughout the capture process.

  • Plan, lead, execute BD activities to include:

    • Leading the development of a healthy pipeline of new winnable opportunities

    • Qualify and assess the win-ability of new opportunities and move them through the milestone process

    • Develop a plan for securing knowledge and understanding of the customers requirements, challenges, issues, and needs during the capture phase and lead solutioning/planning sessions with the capture team

    • Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices

    • Lead milestone/gate reviews, black hat sessions, solution sessions, blue teams, and support proposal reviews

    • Lead the development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other customer engagement activities.

    • Apply KBR BD best practices to each pursuit, including customer engagement, solution, and win theme development

    • Brief pipeline and opportunity status to senior management at specified milestones

    • Develop successful client solutions to win large new business programs

Basic Qualifications

  • Over 15 years experience in operations and Business Development in support of Federal clients.

  • Over 3 years of experience in Business Development within the INDOPACOM.

  • Experience winning new business, including contracts awards valued over $200M.

  • Understanding of Joint Staff/COCOM technology and employment requirements accounting for US Air Force, US Space Force, US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Army capabilities along with key allied and coalition partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace.

  • Pre-existing industry knowledge and relationships with proven track records of winning single award programs as a prime.

  • Proven success in the following discipline(s) within Business development: opportunity identification and qualification, account planning, and strategic planning capability.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in services-centric organizations to develop, organize and execute significant BD activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree.

  • Active Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain.

  • Experience working classified pursuits.

  • Green Belt and Lean Six Sigma certified.
