Policy and Legislative Associate (TS/SCI Poly Required)

Work You'll Do

As a Project Delivery Specialist on the project, you will:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret Congressional activities, statements, and legislation (both draft and final).
  • Keep informed of ongoing Congressional interest items and provide real-time or near-real-time alerts of legislative actions impacting the IC.
  • Work with client staff to develop outreach and engagement plans and to identify activities that should or must be shared with Congress.
  • Generate ideas, develop briefs, review documents, and prepare client employees who are briefing the Hill.
  • Intake cases and requests and conducts assessment of the operative skillsets to manage the workflow and assign appropriate attorneys and litigation support.
  • Provide quality control and oversight for legal workflow, staff performance, and deliverables.
  • Identify repeatable tasks and builds out workflows to promote consistency, access to information for client staff, and long-term visibility into case management.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a work model that requires professionals to co-locate in person 5 days per week in McLean, VA
  • 3+ years of experience in Public Policy Analysis, Project Coordination, Policy Administration, Project Management or Case Management in a government legal setting
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:
  • Proficiency in legal research databases.
  • Experience in legal policy review.
  • Experience preparing memoranda, reports, and legal documents.
