The primary job functions of this position are to act as the equipment maintenance technician for the completion of scheduled and demand preventive/predictive equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and improvement of process and facility equipment, and to deliver 24 hour / 7 days a week maintenance support to the facility. The Mechanical Equipment Technician will also provide technical support in the design, installation, and qualification of new or modified process or facility equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs or arranges for preventive and demandmaintenanceon a wide variety of equipment, including electrical,plumbing, and process equipment.
• Supports reliability-centeredmaintenance program(s) at the site by performing or coordinating completion of predictive maintenance activities such as equipment vibration analysis, oil/lubricant analysis, ultrasonic thickness or other non-destructive testing, infrared heat mapping, etc.
• Conducts and documents activities in a manner that maintains facility compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP), process safety management (PSM), and other applicable regulations.
• Providesmaintenance expertisein support of manufacturing investigations, failure and root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning and execution.
• Strictly follows all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) procedures and supports efforts to improve facility EHS performance.
• Attends all required training and complies with the responsibilities associated with the maintenance technician position as detailed in the applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
• Conducts maintenance-related training sessions as required.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (I/O, sensors, actuators, communication faults) to minimize downtime.
• Calibrate and verify field instrumentation (proximity sensors, photoeyes, encoders, pressure/temperature transmitters).
• Document work in CMMS (e.g., Maximo) including failure codes, corrective actions, and parts usage
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs. Experience or Relevant Certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or Associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. Experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
