With a strong ethical framework, KBR prioritizes data security, privacy, and responsible information management to ensure mission success.KBR is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to add to its high performing Software Development team currently supporting the Defense Health Agency. This is a great position for someone looking to work with a team to produce high performance cloud-based web applications to benefit active-duty military, veterans and their dependents within the TRICARE Benefit program. This is a small yet highly productive team that works well for self-motivated individuals who enjoy the demands required for successful software development in a cloud-based environment. Job Summary: The candidate shall provide technical expertise to design, build, and lead others in creating high performance application components for cloud-based web applications within the Defense Health Agency environment. Design responsibilities will include interfacing with the client directly to obtain priorities which are then used to populate and manage an Agile Development backlog. Once the backlog has been curated, the candidate will be expected to lead daily standup meetings and bi-weekly sprint planning sessions to help the rest of the team understand their tasks for the sprint. The candidate will be expected to contribute with development efforts during the sprint when able, writing clean and efficient code using Microsoft Blazor, C#, and .NET Core. This position requires outstanding communication and technical skills as there will be time when you will be dealing with a very technical team of Software Developers as well as requirements or business discussions with non-technical Points of Contact. Compensation: $136,000.00 - $204,000.00. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
