Master's Level Intern: Roots to Recovery- 6896 INTERNSHIP TYPE:              Internship - Master's Level    PROGRAM:              Roots to Recovery SITE LOCATION:          Willimantic, CT HOURS/SCHEDULE:       Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM, flexible ABOUT THE PROGRAM: ROOTS TO RECOVERY A Holistic Approach to Substance Use Treatment (R2R) is an intermediate, 24/7 residential treatment for men in need of a structured environment to continue building upon their recovery skills. R2R is located in Willimantic. There are 14 beds and it is a 90 day maximum intermediate (3.5) residential substance abuse treatment program. Clients are referred from intensive treatment programs, emergency room staff and/or detox programs. Clients with co-occurring disorders and on Methadone maintenance are accepted. Clients cannot work during their stay but can start looking for work 3 weeks prior to program completion. PROGRAM OUTLINE: By participating as a Master’s Level Intern with CHR, you can expect to gain firsthand experience and training related to psychiatric & substance abuse diagnostic evaluation and treatment as well as other services, including assessment, consultation, individual, couples, group, family treatment and medication evaluation and monitoring. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Must be enrolled in a master’s degree program in mental health field. Experience: Demonstrated experience in mental health treatment preferred but not required. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid driver’s license WHY INTERN AT CHR?
