Registered Nurse (RN) Dialysis, Home Training

As a Home Training Dialysis Nurse, you will be at the forefront of empowering patients to transition from center-based care to independent, home-based therapies, enhancing autonomy, confidence, and long-term outcomes.

In this highly impactful position, you will blend clinicalskillwith patient education, guiding individuals and their families through Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Home Hemodialysis (HHD). Your work will extend beyond traditional care settings, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and see the real-world impact of your care in the patients home environment.

The Role:

This is a dynamic, patient-centered role that combines clinical care, education, and relationship-building. You will serve as both a clinician and coach, helping patients successfully adopt and manage dialysis therapies in their daily lives.

On a typical day, you will:

  • Conductin-home assessmentsto ensure a safe and supportive dialysis environment

  • Delivercomprehensive education and hands-on trainingto patients and caregivers on PD and HHD therapies

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships thatencourage confidence and independencein home care management

  • Monitor patient progress throughongoing clinical assessments, adjusting care plans as needed

  • Managemedications, dialysis supplies, and treatment protocolsto ensure continuity of care

  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to supportoptimalpatient outcomes

  • Providecontinuous support and troubleshooting, helping patients navigate challenges with confidence

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing programrequired. Bachelor of Science inNursingrequiredwithin 5 years of hire.

  • Experience:1 year of relevant experience.

  • Licensure/Certifications:Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certificationrequired.

Physical Demands -

Job requires standing for prolonged periods,frequentlytraveling, bending/stooping. Proficientcommunicative,auditoryand visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/bodyfluidsand infectious disease.

Compensation-

New hire compensationwill bedeterminedbypreviouswork experience,education,and/orexperience.

Starting Pay - $39.90/hour

Onboarding Requirements -

Background checksandpre-employment health screeningswill be conducted on all new hires prior to employment.All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require adrug screen.

The pay range for this role is $39.90 - $53.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
