Systems Accountant

Qualifications

Minimum Specialized Qualifications: In addition to meeting the education requirement, applicants must demonstrate the following: Financial Reporting Experience: Minimum of two years of professional experience preparing and analyzing a variety of financial reports. Accounting Knowledge: Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and standard accounting practices. Financial Analysis & Problem Solving: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate financial data and identify discrepancies, trends, or operational issues. Decision-Making Ability: Ability to assess financial information and make sound, informed decisions. Budget & Fiscal Closeout Support: Experience assisting with budget execution activities, including fiscal year-end closeout processes. Accounting Systems & Process Development: Experience preparing procedural instructions supporting the development, implementation, or modification of automated accounting systems. Account Reconciliation: Ability to research and resolve discrepancies between general ledger accounts and subsidiary records. Automated Accounting System Operations: Experience entering, updating, retrieving, and maintaining financial data within automated accounting systems. Work Planning & Priority Management: Ability to establish work priorities, manage deadlines, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
