Now Hiring: Per Diem Neurologist for Skilled Nursing Facility

NYC Health + Hospitals/Coler, a proud affiliate of NYU Grossman School of Medicine, is currently seeking a Per Diem Neurologist to provide consultative services to patients in our skilled nursing facility on Roosevelt Island. Situated on Roosevelt Island, our 815-bed facility offers a serene setting equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a dedicated interdisciplinary care team. We specialize in comprehensive services including advanced wound care, memory care, and stroke recovery support.

Responsibilities:

· As a Per Diem Neurologist at NYC Health + Hospitals/Coler, you will: Provide in-person neurological consultations for long-term care and post-acute patients.

· Offer expert clinical evaluation and treatment recommendations for a range of neurological conditions including dementia, stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, and neuropathies.

· Collaborate with Primary Care Providers, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Nursing, and Social Work teams to ensure a coordinated approach to care.

· Document findings and plans clearly and thoroughly in the electronic health record.

· Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning when appropriate.

Requirements:

· Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology

· Active New York State medical license

· Prior experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or geriatric neurology preferred

· Excellent communication and documentation skills

· Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate neurological care to a diverse patient population

· Schedule & Compensation:

· Per diem position with flexible scheduling

· Competitive per diem rate based on experience
