The Role

The Registered Nurse Care Coordinator supports oncology patients and providers by helping keep care plans moving efficiently, accurately, and compassionately. In this role, you will be part of acollaborative rural cancer care teamsupporting medical oncology anduro-oncology providers while helping patients and families feel informed, supported, and connected throughout their care journey.

The practice is in a period of growth, with plans to expand from9 exam rooms to 24, addadditionalproviders, and continue increasing access to high-quality oncology care close to home. This wage positionisbest suited for someone who is comfortable withvariable coverage needs, including a one-day-per-week schedule withadditionalhours as needed.Some weeks may offer more opportunities for coverage than others.

In an average day, you may:

• Support an in-office providerwhileassistingwith coverage for other physicians and providers as needed.

• NavigateEpic Beacon treatment plans, pending orders, and appointment requests.

• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and the broader patient care team to help coordinate oncology care.

• Help patients and families understandnextsteps, resources, and care planlogistics.

• Support clinic flow and provider templates, including preparation that may be completed remotely based on operationalneed.

• Contribute ideas to improve workflows, strengthen communication, and support a growing oncology practice.

• Help deliverexceptional oncology care in a rural community setting, where patients can receive advanced care with a personal, team-centered approach.

Nurses withoncology, triage, or hospice experiencemay find this role especially aligned with their background, though those experiences are preferred rather thanrequired.
