This highly visible executive role combines operational leadership of mission-critical payment infrastructure with responsibility for driving the long-term modernization of legacy payment capabilities that support a significant portion of the bank's money movement ecosystem.The successful leader will oversee a team of professionals and contractors, ensuring the stability, performance, resiliency, and risk management of critical payment platforms while simultaneously leading a complex, multi-year transformation of ACH and Wire architecture. This role requires a seasoned operator who can balance day-to-day execution with strategic modernization initiatives that will shape the future of payments at Truist. Working closely with senior technology, operations, risk, and business stakeholders, this leader will drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and knowledge transfer strategies while maintaining a relentless focus on operational excellence. The role demands executive presence, strong stakeholder influence skills, and the ability to lead through organizational change in a highly visible environment. This is a unique opportunity to tackle one of the most challenging initiatives in large-bank payments technology: reimagining and modernizing ACH and Wire infrastructure while continuing to operate legacy platforms that process and support a substantial portion of enterprise payment activity.
