Our internship provides you the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative team that is helping to solve our clients most challenging matters. Throughout GDITs 10-week Summer Internship Program, you will have the opportunity to do the following: Work side-by-side with GDIT professionals delivering work for clients. Collaborate with a team of peers to research and propose solutions to a current business challenge. Participate in a mentoring circle led by an early career champion. Interact with GDIT leaders. Participate in professional development. How Youll Make this Internship Opportunity Your Own GDIT is seeking a talented Jr. Research Analyst who is passionate about technology and international affairs. This individual must be motivated to deliver innovative capabilities that directly impact some of GDITs most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects across the country. A Day in the Life Performs administrative duties in support of a department or customer. Works on a short-term, seasonal basis.Performs research, analysis, development, and evaluation of systems, procedures, and data in assigned functional areaWork remote with a team of professional spread across the United States.Conduct research in a wide variety of policy and coverage areas to assess potential risk and opportunities in federal programs.Work with team to assess risk, develop mitigation strategies, and document and present findings to customer.Synthesize complex policy and regulatory guidance to develop recommendations, both written and verbal, to present to senior leadership.The Must-Haves Education: Candidate should be pursuing a degree in International Affairs or Public Policy at the Bachelor's, Master's or Phd level.Required Technical Skills: Proficient in computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Office - Word and Excel.What Will Make You a Stand-Out Candidate Interest in public policy and global relationsAbility and interest in synthesizing information and dataBasic knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in scientific functional area(s)Basic knowledge of the related equipment and systems used in scientific functional area(s) GDIT interns are paid and full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks.
