Storage Engineer - TS/SCI w/Polygraph
Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Storage Engineer at GDIT. Youll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. Our work depends on the Storage Engineer joining our team to support the deployment of systems and capabilities centered on our comprehensive motion imagery software suite.HOW A STORAGE ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Participating in requirement analysis, solution design, testing, and implementation of next generation Storage and Backup systems, both on and off premiseCollaborating with the Customer Technical Leads, storage vendors, and cloud providers to evaluate emerging storage technologiesDeveloping and maintaining the storage demonstration environment in the designated test labDevelop and execute test plans for storage and backup solutionsPerforming root cause analysis for major issues and recommend improvementsProviding storage upgrade recommendations and support system integration activitiesProviding Tier 3/4 support to storage and backup platformsConducting system security engineering with a Storage/SAN focusInstalling, monitoring, and optimizing storage solutionsWHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED: The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.Ten (10+) years of related systems engineering experienceBachelors or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or fourteen (14+) years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degreeExpertise with enterprise storage and backup platforms (e.g., NetApp, Dell/EMC, Pure Storage, Cohesity, Rubrik, NetBackup) and hyperconverged solutions (VxRail, Nutanix).Full lifecycle SAN administration experience including utilization analysis and capacity planningExperience with VMware and virtualized environmentsProficiency in Windows and Red Hat administrationFamiliarity with cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, Oracle)Broad understanding across related technology domains such as virtualization, networking, Intel-based systems, data center migration, and disaster recoveryLocation: At Customer Site Herndon areaGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays #GDITCareers #GDITPolyEvent #VA_2026Alumni #GDITEnhanced2026 #MissionPoly2026 #CJPost #Jet
