The part-time Project Coordinator will help manage the daily work of the SOP parenting program. This position will schedule classes, work with schools and community sites, recruit families, supervise parent educators, and train/supervise student staff. The coordinator will also prepare program materials, track attendance, maintain records, and make sure classes have the supplies and support they need.

The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Staff, Part Time, Non-Exempt, Benefited position through 6/30/2027 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

Salary: $24.00 per hour.

Location: CSUSB Campus and various program sites in the Inland Empire.

Work Schedule

25 hours per week. Schedule will vary based on program needs. Evenings and weekends may be required.

First Review Deadline

This position will remain open until filled.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Director, the Project Coordinator will work independently to:

  • Coordinate parenting courses with school districts and community sites.
  • Establish class schedules and assign parent educators.
  • Assisting supervise, and providing weekly support to parent educators.
  • Address staffing, scheduling, and classroom-related concerns.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and identifying substitute instructors.
  • Manage course setup through TRST and other required systems.
  • Oversee recruitment and enrollment efforts for parenting classes.
  • Monitor program participation, attendance, and course completion.
  • Review and approve staff timesheets.
  • Coordinate food, supplies, and materials for in-person classes.
  • Oversee online courses, including Google Classroom and Zoom setup.
  • Support research activities, including data collection and analysis.
  • Supervise children's group leads and student interns.
  • Attend initial class sessions and remain available to address emergencies.
  • Ensure program records and class files are complete and accurate.
  • Travel throughout the Inland Empire to attend classes, meetings, outreach events, and other program activities.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Master's degree in child development, early childhood education, clinical counseling, social work, school counseling, school psychology or a related field (or concurrent enrollment in a master's program).
  • Experience:
    • Experience in child/family interventions and project implementation.
  • Other:
    • Strong communication and organization skills.
    • Ability to manage schedules, records, and multiple tasks.
    • Ability to work with families, school staff, and community partners.
    • Ability to supervise and support employees and student staff.
    • Basic computer skills, including email, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Google Classroom.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to travel throughout the Inland Empire to attend classes, meetings, outreach events, and other program activities. Reliable transportation may berequired.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred.
