Description: The Department of Art, Art History and Design at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track faculty position (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in Painting & Drawing to begin fall 2027.

The Department seeks an innovative artist with a broad understanding of contemporary practice in painting and drawing. The terminal degree (MFA) in studio art is required for this position. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of teaching and professional experience beyond graduate school.

The Department of Art, Art History and Design has 22 full-time faculty members and is located within the College of Arts and Letters.
