Lead DS CEL
DS Comm Lead The DS Comm Lead evaluates, designs, and oversees telecommunications rooms (MDF/IDF/CELs), including racks, bonding/grounding, electrical, cooling, cable pathways, and compliance with AF/SF and UFC standards. This role manages GDIT, Agency, and Subcontractor teams performing site surveys, rack builds, grounding, cabling, electrical, and network equipment installations. Primary ResponsibilitiesConduct onsite surveys documenting power, cooling, bonding/grounding, pathways, and room readinessDevelop layout designs including rack plans, cable management, grounding/bonding, electrical circuits, and equipment placementManage GDIT, Agency, and Subcontractor labor performing room buildouts, rack installation, cable routing, and groundingEnsure compliance with UFC, TIA/EIA, I3A, and DoW telecommunications room standardsCoordinate with base civil engineering for facility upgrades or modificationsSupport QA inspections and validation of deliverables and asbuiltsWork closely with Network, Fiber Optic, ISP, and OSP teams for integration of infrastructureParticipate in design reviews and customer briefings as a SME Required ExperienceBA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years of experience47 years experience with telecommunications rooms, data center buildouts, or ISP infrastructureExperience managing cabling, rack installation, or structured cabling teamsKnowledge of grounding/bonding, power specs, equipment standards, and room environmental requirementsExperience with AFCENT, AFNET, or equivalent DoW telecomm environments (preferred)Ability to obtain Interim Secret Security ClearanceHiring/Working location will be on site supporting the daily implementation efforts at Eielson Air Force Base, Fairbanks Alaska.This work will be for 7+ months with potential opportunities for movement onto other initiatives upon completion.
