Software Development Technical Lead
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT TECHNICAL LEAD Transform technology into opportunity as a Software Development Technical Lead with GDIT. HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT TECHNICAL LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Responsibilities:AI SDLC: Lead optimizing AI-enabled SDLC practices within your team and across other development cross functional teams, leveraging AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, documentation, and requirements refinement to drive measurable improvements in team productivity, quality, and delivery speed by coordinating with other leads. Microservices Architecture Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices architecture to support our client enterprise software applications and services. Implement best practices for microservices development, including service isolation, fault tolerance, and API designSecDevOps Implementation: Lead the implementation of SecDevOps practices to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle. Automate deployment pipeline, infrastructure provisioning and security testing processes using tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and SonarQubeAWS Cloud Management: Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud environment to support the applications and services. Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership andguidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. Mentor junior developers, conduct review, and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to promote continuous learning and improvementSystem Integration Interoperability: Collatover with cross-functional teams to integrate microservices with existing systems and third part APIs. Ensure interoperability and compatibility between different components and services within the business eco-systemSecurity and Compliance: Work with security team to implement security controls and measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Support regular security assessments and audits as needed to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and risksWHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED: Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field experiences; Masters degree preferredProven track record of experiencing AI enabled SDLCProven track record of devising and executing comprehensive technology roadmaps to drive innovation and competitive advantageStrong leadership skills with a track record of building and nurturing high performing technology teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvementsAbility to lead/support organizational change initiatives by implementing new technologies, processes, and methodologies and driving adoption through effective communication and stakeholder engagement10+ years of hands-on experience in full stack software development leveraging Java J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot Java frameworks, with a focus on API microservices architectureProven expertise in implementing SecDevOps practices and tools like Docker, Apache Maven, JBoss Enterprise Application PlatformHands on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure managementStrong programming skills in languages such as JavaExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like KubernetesExperience with CI/CD pipelines, version controls, and automated testing frameworksExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Desired Certifications: AWS Certified Generative AI Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect-professional, Certified Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) ArchitectTimeline: This role is expected to continue by the end of 2027.
