Coordinator, Maritime Program - Part Time

Class Description

The purpose of this position is to perform an advanced level of administrative work assisting with the coordination of the Continuing Education’s Maritime workforce and recreation program.     

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, degree in business, logistics, maritime studies preferred.  Captain’s license or Master’s degree preferred. Two (2) years of experience working in the Maritime industry, including developing, coordinating, and delivering training is preferred. 


This position requires travel to and from the Catonsville and Dundalk campuses.

Class Specific Essential Duties

  1. Plan, schedule, and coordinate the College’s maritime courses and programs. 
  2. Recommend and develop new courses, course series and conduct course assessments.  
  3. Recruit, select, train, supervise and evaluate adjunct faculty. 
  4. Provide superior customer service and solutions for agencies, students, and adjunct faculty.
  5. Develop and maintain partnerships with all relevant stakeholders.
  6. Coordinate and maintain Coast Guard certification or related industry credentials for required programs. 
  7. Identify and collaborate with industry partners.
