Program Development Specialist for the Philadelphia Housing Authority since September 2000. Responsibilities include development of programs & alternative funding sources and partners for PHA programs and respond to program applications, which relate to those resources. Assists in the development, coordination and program compliance and services that help PHA residents reach social and economic self-sufficiency; researching for grant opportunities from public, private foundations, and government entities.

Formerly the Development Director Black United Fund of Pennsylvania (now known as the African American Fund) responsibilities included management and implementation of statewide private and public sector workplace campaigns and the City of Philadelphia’s Combined Campaign; manage daily operations of satellite office in Harrisburg and coordination with staff and volunteers. Developed and created the image of the organization through press releases, public service announcements and informational literature including the development, creation, and management of the organization’s website.

After graduating from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications worked in several capacities at WCAU, WDAS (AM and FM) and WHAT radio stations. Volunteer activities include the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Community Partnership Program, Board Member of Redeemer Renaissance Community Development Corporation, Center For Responsible Funding, the Philadelphia Alumni Chapter National Pan Hellenic Council, and Philadelphia Cares. A Charter Member and Past Polemarch (President) of the Abington-Ambler Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and a member of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons – Paradise Lodge #1 in Philadelphia.
