Working for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

Became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Fairfax County, VA Alumnae Chapter) on December 2, 2006. Became engaged to my fiancee' Carlos A. Weems on August 8, 2006. Marrying my husband Carlos A. Weems on August 8, 2008. Earning my Graduate Professional Certificate in Public Relations from the University of Maryland, University College on May 30, 2010.

Most Memorable Moment:

Most memorable moment and person: Rae Lewis-Thornton speaking at Hampton both my Freshman and Senior years. Remember, H.I.V. is out there, you can live or die, the choice is up to you, and we all know what to do!!
2nd most memorable moment- Tom Joyner coming to HU for Homecoming 1998 (my sophomore year)!!! 3rd most memorable moment- Graduation (Mother's Day, 2001). The people that loved me the most were there. You know who you are. Also, former NAACP President Kwaesi Mfume spoke, and there was not a cloud in the sky!!!
