I am an Afro Queer Hip Hop Scholar In Christ, A Queer Pentecostal Liberation Theologist, Hip Hop Head, 80's Baby/90's Kid, Public Intellectual, Jesus Freak with a Prophetic Word of Life for this sin-sick, broken, and dying world. I Am a Revolutionary Warrior, Freedom Fighter, and Grassroots Movement Organizer. My Mother and Father, Pat and Maxie(R.I.P.) named me Joseph after my paternal grandfather, Benjamin after my maternal great-grandfather, and then my Daddy gave me his last name Reaves. My role models are Jesus Christ, Dr. Cornel West, Rev. Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Audre Lorde, James Baldwin, Pastor OC Allen III, Pharrell, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, Common, El Haaj Malik El Shabazz (Malcolm X), Lil' Wayne and Dr. Huey P. Newton. I Am A Christian Saved, Sanctified, Set Apart, Blood-Washed, Fire Baptized, Born Again, and filled with the Holy Ghost. I believe Jesus to be The Christ, The Risen Messiah, The Ressurected Savior, The Redemption of Humanity, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Prince of Peace, and a Wonderful Counselor and Friend. I believe He lived, loved, healed, forgave, died, rose, and is coming back again and on this rock I build my life. I am not perfect just redeemed. I have many identities and I have the FREEDOM to re-define myself as I choose. I Am a queens-based Brooklynite who will now be in The Chocolate City pursuing my education at Howard University (The Real HU!). I am a SophomoreTransfer my major is African American Studies with a minor in Philosophy. I plan to use my degree to become a Queer Cornel West discussing issues of Race and Sexuality
