Q&A With EDEN LORVINSKY

(interview me)
EDEN LORVINSKY
Pharmacy Technician, Publix Pharmacy

Location: MIRAMAR, FL United States
Joined: May 4th, 2009
About   (request update)
I am a hardworking, yet well-rounded individual. I have always set goals for myself that I have strived hard to achieve. For an example, pharmacy school, as soon as I had known that pharmacy was my major I took the initiative to engage myself in pharmacy-related settings to see if I in fact was sure about the career I was getting into. I have worked hard during my undergraduate, by taking course loads of 17 credits of science core classes, mean while volunteering in a hospital, and working in a retail pharmacy in my community. I maintained a grade point average higher than a 3.0 while traveling back and forth to the hospital due to my mother’s illness. She was literally living in the hospital. The doctors told me that my mom wouldn't make it because of her diagnosis of cancer. Seeing my mom eat, and use the bathroom through tubes for months didn't discourage but rather motivated me to pursue the pharmacy profession even more. Sometimes I wouldn't sleep because I had the responsibility of taking care of my mom and my siblings at home, while having to complete my course work. This obstacle came to distract me but I overcame it. This shows that I am a student that does not give up and bound to succeed despite what challenges I have to face.
In everything I do I make sure that I put my all towards whatever I involve myself in. Whether its showing the kids a new dance move, or calling a customer to make sure that he or she receives their prescription. I always attempt to dedicate all my effort and time towards whatever I am doing. Whether its simple or difficult. Throughout my whole entire life I have been that one child in all of my siblings to get the good grades and now enter into graduate school. It was not because I was better than them but it was the dedication, and determination I had, that got me this far.
My Interview Question
What are your goals and aspirations?
Current Whereabouts:
D
Life & Professional Aspirations:
which influenced quite a few of my lifelong decisions; one of which is the desire to become a Pharmacist. Pro-Bono Medical work is not consistent in the community that I grew. With that being the fact of life, I saw many individuals of my ethnic descent misinformed or not informed at all on the medications that are available to them. The first-hand view of people suffering and dying from their illnesses made me realize that I had the passion, a passion for the caring and well-being of others. This passion led me down to the path to become a pharmacist so that I could return to the community and provide health care knowledge about medication. I am not seeking to become a pharmacist as simply a career choice, but more as a calling. A calling that was created from my passion to inform others. It is my goal to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree and then apply that knowledge in a career as a pharmacist. I am eager to expand my knowledge in this field and hope to take part in future research projects. I had the opportunity to volunteer at Memorial Hospital and hope that as I become more experienced, my volunteer activities will expand since I will be able to offer more expertise to those in need. I look forward to building a solid educational foundation which I hope to constantly improve upon by staying abreast of any improvements in the field of pharmacy. I want to be the voice that speaks from the heart which contains an endless passion for the care of people as a whole and not as individuals, I strongly believe has prepared me for the field of pharmacy.
