Life & Professional Aspirations:

My goal is to earn a doctor’s degree in pediatrics. I will attend Hampton University for my undergraduate studies. Later I will attend Case Western Reserve for medical school. I am majoring in nursing so I can have a definite job after graduation and also have a good foundation for medical school. I want to pursue a career in medicine because I want to make a difference in people’s lives. For the past two years I have been volunteering at Children’s hospital and being there has really impacted my decision to go into pediatrics. I have an instinctive urge to help people and working at Children’s has been a great way to fulfill my urge to serve. I feel that volunteering has opened my mind up to a lot of different things. The patients are faith filled and inspirational; they have dreams that reach farther than the hospital walls around them. I know they deserve to have a full and healthy life. Hopefully in the future when I become a doctor I will not only be able to help people but actually make them well.

Activities & Accomplishments:

High School Cheerleading - Team Captain (9th-12th) I really believe in school spirit and love getting the crowd pumped up during a game. I have been captain of my high school team for 4 years.
