MOLOKWU A. AZIKIWE

Mr. Molokwu Azikiwe was born in Nsukka, Enugu State on 28th December 1973 to the family of Late Rt. Hon. Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Professor Uche Azikiwe. He spent his childhood years in the university town of Nsukka and attended Awachie Nursery School, University Primary School (1979 � 1985) and University of Nigeria Secondary School, Nsukka (1985 � 1990).

In 1989 and 1990 respectively, he took and passed the General Certificate of Education (GCE) and Joint Admissions & Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations and thereafter obtained admission to study Accounting at Lincoln University, PA, USA. At Lincoln, he was a member of the varsity soccer team, a senator representing international students at the Student Government Council and an active member of the Business Club. He received numerous awards such as the Dean�s List, Who�s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges and the Galadima Dagazau Award for the graduating Nigerian student with the highest GPA. Mr. Azikiwe completed his degree requirements within three and half years and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting on 15th December 1993.

Thereafter, he obtained admission into the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, IL, USA commencing in August 1994. He spent two years at Illinois and graduated on 11th May 1996 with an MBA in International Business Management & Marketing.

Mr. Azikiwe has over 12 years professional work experience detailed as follows:

� Nov. 1997 � Feb. 1999: Rebate Analyst at GE Capital, Gaithersburg, MD, USA
� Feb. 1999 � March 2000: Staff Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Arlington, VA, USA
� July 2000 � August 2001: National Youth Service at Diamond Bank, Abuja
� Sept. 2001 � August 2003: Principal Enterprise Officer, Bureau for Public Enterprises, Abuja
� August 2003 � July 2008: Project Consultant at ECOWAS Commission, Abuja
� July 2008 � Present: Principal Account (Treasury) at ECOWAS Commission, Abuja

He has also attended numerous professional courses such as:
� Treasury Management at the New York Institute of Finance
� Environmental Considerations for Lending at Regal Exchange, Johannesburg, South Africa
� Project Cycle Management at International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO), Turin, Italy.
