"Hi Willie, That is an excellent question. I'm sure you've gotten many impressive responses. As an Afro American, I believe we should strive to maintain a close relationship with our people and culture. We have such a rich and varied heritage that it is imperative that we strengthen and pass it down to future generations, lest it become extinct. Moreover, the struggle continues and if future generations don't know where, what and who they came from, they will not be able to appreciate what they have or judge how much further they need to go. We need to stay connected. Every HBCU has its own unique struggle. We need to support. "
"Hi Kelley, I'm happy for the opportunity to connect. Hope you are enjoying your time at DSU. Your question, "What makes me special,," I know that all of us are special, however, I feel special to have graduated from DSU at the age of 70. It was truly a challenging opportunity and stimulating experience. I consider it a privilege and an honor."
"I like my relationship with Christ and my desire to leave a legacy of hope and morality for my grands and the next generation to pursue. I also like learning, communicating and maintaining a pleasing persona. By the way, that was an excellent question. Thank you for asking."
"Excellent question Ms. Jones! I would say trust, friendship, love. You first have to establish trust before an individual can be considered a friend. Friendship can develop into love afterward."
"Hi Juan,
Yes, I am aware that there is an agenda. I really don't know the specifics, however. Perhaps you can enlighten me. As a Christian, I am concerned about how it and how it affects our generation."
"I would say that I try to encourage young people to be all they can be that is good and honorable to God. I especially
concentrate on my family; my children and even more on my grandchildren because they are young and impressionable.
I believe the greatest gift I can leave them has to be exemplified in my life, therefore I must walk carefully; always remembering that
I represent Christ. "
"Tiara, my advise would be, "watch your company." When I was very young an old lady would say that to all of us kids; every day and sometimes 3-4 times a day. We would run when we saw her. Later in life I realized what good advise that was. I got mixed up with the wrong people and suffered much hardship. I now realize how very important it is to choose your friends and associates wisely."
My husband and I have been apart of Prison Fellowship Ministries for sixteen years. We go into the prisons for Bible study to encourage the prisoners. I also teach Sunday School at my church and minister the Word.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
Inspiring children and young people to seek their highest potential and become knowledgeable about their rich heritage. My personal goal is to inspire my children and grandchildren to walk worthy of their calling. I want to leave a good legacy for them to follow.
*Prayer Coordinator and Presenter for annual "March for Jesus" event in our community.

Thank you for becoming friends
The website presentation http://www.trylightyear.com/ is not directly about paying off student loans. But Take notice of the 2nd testimonial (which is 2min. into the video) when the single mother talks about sharing this LightYear Wireless concept with her 2 daughters. IT was at that moment I decided to put together a simple spend sheet that any HBCU-CONNCTION student could use to take control of their student debt.
MY basic theory using this LightYear Wireless concept was to help you & other students to do this just 1 time/wk. You will learn how to earn weekly income (so that you can just to enjoy the college life) & monthly residual income. It is the residual income that I'm trying to show you in the spread sheet on how to payoff your student loans.
The new school year has just started & I'm willing to bet that you have shared your cell phone # with 10 new friends. And most of them have the same student loan concerns as you.
Please simply reply by going to my profile website an under my picture entry your infro. I'm only asking that you let me get this FREE spend sheet into your hands. I like to hear your opinion about this concept for paying bac student loans.
Have a blessed day.

Hi William,
Thanks for the response and words of encouragement. I really enjoy your blogs.
You have an open and positive outlook that is very refreshing. Looking at life
from a senior prospective, I realize more than ever how important it is to be able to
connect with people of all ages. I find it challenging and motivating. I try to keep
an open mind to learn from anyone. As the old folks say, "you eat the meat and spit
out the bones." You are about a good work; stay on the wall!
