My broadcasting students won 1st, 2nd and third place in the NAACP ACT-SO Regional Competition for Filmmaking. We were scheduled to go to New York but the student who won 1st place just recently died from injuries suffered in a car accident. The student's name is Jordan Brooks and he was a first broadcasting student in my broadcasting program. The Memphis Branch of the NAACP is still planning to feature the project in the national competition. Even in his death he was teaching people something I say this because he donated his organs to 16 people who needed the organs to survive. Even I at 34 have not signed up to donate organs if some was to happen to me so my students and I learned how one could be thinking of others as they are going home to be with the lord.
I am currently working for Shelby County Schools as Broadcasting Program Director and Instructor at Millington Central High School.
I still currently work on special assignment projects for WMC TV-5 where I worked as Newscast Floor Manager and Studio Operations Manager for 8 long wonderful years.
I also work for Grace Christian Fellowship Church International as Production Manager and my wife is the Media Director for the television ministry.
My wife Tamela is the Television Station Manager at Trinity Broadcasting Network where she has worked for the last 13 years hosting shows, producing and directing local and national programs for TBN.
