Nobody is perfect, neither am I. I know that because I have faced many challenges in my life but right now I am picking my self up and carrying myself to the mighty road of sucess. Everything that I just said shows that i have a passion to be sucessful and that I am a very determined person. I have learned that i am not "everybody else" and that I have to be myself and do what is best for ME. One of the most unique things about me is the fact that i wear hearing aids. My hearing impairment has caused me to face many challenges and obstacles throughout my life. I have been in Special Ed class but to be honest i never liked to be in them. I felt like i wasnt smart enough to be in the class with all of the other kids. Ever since i had been put in special ed I have been trying very hard to prove to people that I am the smartest girl that i can be regardless of my hearing impairment. I proved my point when I was told that i didnt need to be in special ed anymore and when i made straight A's my Junior year in high school. After that i felt like i could accomplish ANYTHING. As long as put my mind to it and kept my passion for wanting to be sucessful, there was always a good outcome in the end. I also depend on visual things to understand the world. I read lips when people talk, i love to observe things and how they work but one thing i love the most is art and graphic design. It fascinates me to see how people come up powerful vivid images. Having a good imaginatin can make beautiful images blossom onto a sheet of paper while sketching something. I believe that people do art to express their inner soul and passion. It is a way of freeing yourself from life's problems and venting on a sketching pad. It is also a way of showing people who you are. Since i am a shy and quiet person, i believe that God gave me the gift to express myself through art and graphic design. It is truly a beauty.

hello my name is shamar and i was wondering what college you go to and what your future plans are ?

Life & Professional Aspirations:

In my years after graduating high school I would like to attend Spelman College for Women in Atlanta, Georgia with a degree in Business and Graphic Design. I am positively sure that if i was to be accepted into Spelman College for women i would put 100% effort into the challenging work that I will be recieving. After I graduate the college of my choice, I would like to open up a Business graphic designing and art to help others bring out their inner creactivity. I would like to desgin flyers, layouts, etc for any record labels in the music or fashion industry. I realize that hard work with my graphic design business will have a great outcome and i hope i become sucessful in the meantime. I would like to prove to people that no matter what obstacles you have faced you can still accomplish your dreams no matter what anybody tells you. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. It's YOUR dream and YOUR life.

I am a member of FBLA, and I am in the art club I participated in the academic bowl for the deaf and hard of hearing Honor Roll Student

Best Memories:

My best high school memory was fresh man year because i had met so many great people and teachers and i have learned that it's best to get a headstart at making good grades before time runs out
