About (request update)

In February of 1991, I was born premature to a teen mother in Fort Walton Beach, FL. With the help of her parents, she made the decision to put me up for adoption. Fortunately, I had the privilege of being adopted into a wonderful loving family. Currently, I am a senior at West Orange High School and a member of the Fusion Leadership team and AVID.

My parents have instilled in me a sense of respect, spiritual discernment, worth, and determination. They have afforded me a great education, encouragement, and many opportunities to develop my personal, academic, social and leadership skills. I am often referred by my mom as a "young man of destiny."

I have been involved in speech contests, sports teams, community service events, and several leadership and extracurricular camps. I have contributed over 150 community service hours as a technology assistant at Robinswood Middle School, assistant teacher at Harvest Baptist Children’s Church, concession attendant at Pop Warner games, and as a teen juror with Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Additionally, I am CPR certified and enjoy playing basketball, building positive relationships, and fellowshipping with my friends.

My immediate goal is to graduate from high school and attend Fort Valley State University in the Fall of 2009. Although, I know I will have challenges in my life, I understand that they come to make me stronger and better. I look forward to the day when I can add to my repertoire of skills through my collegiate experience. I plan to embrace every interaction experienced to make me a well-rounded gentleman who will be ready to contribute to society.
