35 years' experience as a Music Educator. During that time, I've taught in Michigan (Beecher Public Schools, Mt. Morris Township/Flint), Washington, D.C. (Eastern Senior High School), Maryland (Caroline County High School), New Jersey (Cicely Tyson High/Middle School of the Performing Arts, East Orange School District & Newark Public Schools), Delaware (Dover High School, William Penn Middle School, Dover).

Claim To Fame:
A member of Delaware State College Marching Masters Band (AFTER-BLAST Drumline) Member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Inc.- Eta Psi Chapter (I'm also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America-Zeta Iota Chapter (Howard University), THE Omega Psi Phi Fraternity-Omicron Rho Chapter (Flint, Michigan)/ Pi Iota Chapter (Tampa, Florida) and, The Prince Hall Masonic Order.
Most Memorable Moment:
A campus band that I was the drummer for(Final MIxx) Opening for both Phyllis Hyman and Angela Bofill at 2 separate Lycium Committee concerts. Being a member of The Marching Maters Marching Band under the direction of Mr. Ivory Brock!
High School: East Orange High School in East Orange, NJ class of 1984
 
Activities & Accomplishments:
Marching band, concert band, jazz band, string ensemble. track & field team, wrestling team. Captain of the Wrestling-Senior year; Captain of the drumline-Senior. Voted "Most Musical" in my senior
Best Memories:
11th grade: I made the honor roll ALL 4 marking periods!-A FIRST in my life, LOL!

I currently work with Hillsborough County Public Schools-Tampa as Elementary School Music Teacher
I have 14 years of experience working in the Teaching / K-12 Education industry.
Elementary School Music Specialist (Educator) | Hillsborough County Public Schools (Tampa, Florida)
From January 2010 to Current • 16 year(s)
 I teach Elementary General Music Education-grades K-5. I am also the director/instructor of two (2) elementary school performing arts programs: 1. Music Will (formerly known as Little Kids' Rock). In this program, students are taught to perform on rock/funk/r & b/pop group instruments, and in those performance settings: 2. The Cougar Pride Marching Unit. In this program, the students are taught to perform in a "marching band type" setting. This program consists of a 16-member pompom/dance squad, a 10-member flag corps., 3 banner carriers and a 33-member drumline (consisting of 8 cymbal players, 10 snare drummers, 4 tenor drummers, 4 multi-tenor drummers, and 7 bass drummers. Both groups perform for both on campus, and off campus events/venues.
