Claim To Fame:
I made the president's list twice in college and became the first student representative on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Black Heritage Committee. In my sophomore year I gave the speech about what Civil Rights means for young people today, and was able to bring ASALH to the campus of Johnson C. Smith University with the help of my mentors and friends. ASALH also began the African Kings and Queens festival on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University which is a program that still happens every February to this day.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college moments were helping to bring the ASALH National Convention to Charlotte , N.C. and being a big part of helping to mobilize the volunteers for the event. Also, my probate was one of my most memorable college moments along with meeting my girlfriend and walking across the stage as I graduated.
