Why are HBCUs important?
Current Whereabouts:
Photo Historian - documenting Black history in digital photographs. Researching little known Black history.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
To educate Blacks about their rich history and accomplishments so that they will have pride in themselves and their heritage.

Undergrad Major: History
Claim To Fame:
2005 - SUBR - B.A. in History with minor in Political Science; 2007 - SUBR - M.A. in Social Science with concentration in History; 2010 - SUNO - M.A. in Museum Studies; Commitment to researching, recording, preserving, publishing, exhibiting Black history from Africa throughout the diaspora.
Most Memorable Moment:
Receiving the Roscoe Leonard Memorial History Award and being inducted into Alpha Zeta Beta Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
High School: Scotlandville Senior Hight School in Baton Rouge, LA class of 1967

Debate Team, Newspaper, Student Council, FTA, 4H, Captain of Cheering Squad, Honor Student
Best Memories:
Having an administration and faculty that genuinely cared about our education and success who were personally vested into what we became and how we were prepared to contribute to our communities.

I have 44 years of experience working in the Administrative and Support Services industry.
