About   (request update)
My Story That Helps To Frame My Future
My name is Dawn Bienek. I am currently a high school senior at Channelview High School. I plan to try to attend a college or University. I plan to become an elementary school teacher to help children that struggle with their future as I once did. I had not always been on the directional path that I proceed on right now. I once had some difficulty when I was in the sixth and seventh grades. I had to go to court due to very poor attendance. A judge by the name of Judge Tony Polumbo of the Baytown courts was to oversee my case. I’m glad he did, because he did a wonderful job at turning my life around. Never once did he give up on me. He showed me that caring where I wanted my future to take me was very important. I then realized that if a total stranger cared enough to help me make it through my struggling with financial hardships and the other issues that a parents divorce causes, then I should care enough to allow other individuals to know my story. I plan on trying to be as he was, care enough about others to show them how to care about their selves and where they want their future to take them. To also show them that with a lot of hard work and dedication they can have it their way. My destiny becomes obtainable after continuing my education after high school. I hope to attend a college or a university where I can begin my journey to be an established elementary school teacher. I plan on helping children to grow and be aware that they can do any thing they put their mind and effort into doing. I myself had a struggle to get where I am so far. I will be the only one in my family to attend college. So while scary I believe that I want to be the one individual that turns that around for my family. I want people to look up and say although all of the odds were against her she still was able to accomplish her destiny. By long hard determination and hard work my destiny now stands at my feet. As I walk across that stage to get my diploma I will be venturing back in my brain and remembering how my destiny was obtained. There was one time that I discovered that my hard work had paid off. I was able to attend an exhibit at Science museum of Houston. I had to write an essay for this over Benjamin Franklin overseeing that I enjoy history this was an enjoyable essay for me to write. There were not a lot of individuals chosen for this. First you had to be referred by your history teacher and then the process had begun to unfold. They started with about two hundred in the entries. Then they selected fifty from its entirety. The reason I thought this was the best is because my goals and thoughts have not always been centered in the right directional path that I needed to take for my future. When my parents were going through a difficult divorce when I was in the seventh grade it caused me not to care what my future held. I had gotten into trouble at school and had to go to court. Honorable Judge Tony Polumbo in Baytown changed my way. He made sure that I realized that every individual is worth caring for. One day I realized that if a total stranger cared about where my behavior was taking me then I should care as well. On that day that I got to go to the exhibit he was attending it with our school and then he made me the happiest individual by telling everyone there that I was his role model and if he could only turn more children around as he did for me. That was my special day in history to be noticed by someone in such high standards that “yes” my hard work pays off.
