Robert Andrew Parkins was born on March 28th, 1988 in Allentown, PA. I Graduated from Mosser Elementary, Harrison-Morton Middle School, and Louis E. Dieruff High School. From childhood until now has been active in playing various sports. All through high school I played football, basketball, and track. A few awards earned from high school were Most Proficient Writer Certificate of 2006 class, Player of the Game for High School Football 2005-2006, and Most Valuable Player for Track & Field 2005-2006. This spring will graduate from Cheyney University. I’m a communications major looking to explore toward sports journalism and broadcasting. Currently a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Caribbean Students Association, VOICES, and finishing up final semester of Cheyney track & field. What I learned from being here at Cheyney is building long lasting friendships, when I first came at the age of 18 I did not know what to expect now that I’m 22 years old I’ve grown up being here at Cheyney is quite an experience. Now that I’m graduating in the spring I don’t what else is in stored, but I’ll be ready for whatever comes my way. My daily scripture that I live by daily is on my right arm, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, Philippians 4:13.”

Life & Professional Aspirations:

This just the beginning! Post graduation, I expect to get involved with my community of Allentown and surrounding areas in the Lehigh Valley areas to inspire kids. I will be one of the best sports writers in the world, but I also intend to become a broadcaster too. Through all of the things I accomplished, and was exposed to I am confident in whatever I decide to do. When I retire from those professions I will become a professor at a university and share my wealth of knowledge with future generations to produce great talent for the future of communications. I am here now and it’s time to show the world what I am made of!
